COLONIAL REVIVAL STYLE

This new Midwest Colonial Revival house is reminiscent of the golden age of traditional Lake Forest suburban architecture. The exterior building materials include Wisconsin limestone, cedar shingles and carefully detailed Williamsburg beaded wood siding to give the home a distinctive look. Cased arched openings, copper gutters and downspouts, and classically detailed columns help create the overall ambience.

With views to the Open Lands, the landscape and site design were developed as much to honor the unique aspects of the surrounding neighborhood as to offer a transition between the home and property. The house embraces the landscape with two porches, terraces and open loggia.

The interior architecture was designed to create a comfortable and inviting space, in-keeping with the home’s country exterior. The materials and finishes provide warmth and light to each room, and create the period look that nicely complements the home’s furnishings.
