TECHNY TOWERS CONFERENCE AND RETREAT CENTER

Melichar Architects is presently involved in the rehabilitation of the historic Techny Towers Conference and Retreat Center (otherwise known as the Society of the Divine Word). Our goal is to make the building more accessible and user friendly for visitors and the priests who live there. Our work includes restoration and renovation of the front facade and building approach to give it a better street presence. In addition to improving the front entry, handicap access, new tower lighting, site lighting, and monument signage are being added to the historic grounds. A new elevator is being installed, incompatible 1980's additions are being removed, and portions of the building are being restored all while daily operations of the conference center are underway.
